Top SchoolSteve Wade is a cloud-native founder and independent consultant with 11 years of experience simplifying platform complexity for organisations across finance, gaming, and SaaS. He founded Platform Fix to formalise a practice of removing unnecessary cloud-native cruft and has run his own consulting practice since 2014, delivering platform engineering, Kubernetes and training engagements. Steve has held senior platform roles at companies like Mettle and UnderwriteMe, advised Cisco on technical strategy, and served as a Kubernetes Ambassador—melding hands-on engineering with ecosystem advocacy. Based in London, he pairs pragmatic systems thinking with a trainer’s knack for making complex infrastructure approachable, and quietly measures success by what he deletes as much as what he builds.
