Senior🎓
Top SchoolSteven Orvis is a pragmatic engineering manager and mentor with 14 years of experience building and operating production systems across cloud, Kubernetes, and Odoo-based platforms. He combines hands-on development (Python, Typescript, .NET Core) and ops—deploying apps in Kubernetes, managing DBs with Percona, implementing DB backups, and configuring email security—to streamline business workflows and reduce repetitive work. Known for one-on-one coaching, he codifies knowledge through wikis and Loom videos and champions Test-Driven Development to raise team quality and autonomy. At Kencove he led Odoo customizations, created a fence-quoting module, and moved eCommerce platforms while automating deployments and user training. Based in Pennsylvania, he pairs technical depth with practical project leadership and an appetite for hardware tinkering—3D printing, Raspberry Pi projects, and building RC airplanes—that drives creative problem solving.
