Senior🎓
Top SchoolSteven Zhao is a Senior Software Engineer at Meta with 15 years of experience building full-stack, production-grade systems across startups and tech giants. He has led engineering teams as CTO to deliver a SaaS live-streaming platform with real-time features, Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments, and both Postgres and MongoDB backends, and has shipped product-facing features at Google and Meta. Known for coaching teams and driving measurable outcomes—including revenue-generating contracts and strong user engagement—he pairs hands-on coding (React/Next.js, Node/LoopBack, WebSockets) with pragmatic product thinking. Rated "Greatly Exceeds Expectations" three consecutive cycles at Meta, he blends deep implementation experience with an appetite for operational observability and analytics. Unobvious detail: he moves comfortably between low-level mobile integrations (Objective-C/JS for Gmail iOS) and cloud-native infrastructure, making him effective across the stack.
