Top SchoolSujeet Akula is a software engineer with 12 years of experience who brings a rare blend of high-energy research and production engineering to Google, where he has worked since 2018. He holds a PhD in Physics and has transitioned academic expertise—spanning postdoctoral fellowships and data science roles—into building scalable software solutions and teaching as a lecturer at Northeastern University. Comfortable at the intersection of physics, applied math, and computer science, Sujeet has applied rigorous modeling and data-driven thinking to real-world products at pi.exchange and in academic collaborations like LHCPhenonet. Based in Brookline, MA, he pairs deep quantitative instincts with practical engineering discipline, and still finds time to follow particle-physics puzzles—“waiting on those electroweakinos”—which hints at a continual curiosity that informs his technical work.
