Senior🎓
Top SchoolSveinung Fjær is a senior software developer and engineering leader with 8+ years building secure, scalable platforms across frontend, backend and cloud-native systems. He has driven public-sector digitalization at Webstep—helping design the KS Fiks data-exchange protocol and delivery-critical municipal services—and later set technical direction as CTO at Zrch, re-architecting a product to Rust-based microservices with event sourcing and significant AWS cost reductions. Comfortable switching between hands-on development and strategic leadership, he has led distributed teams across Bergen, Bangkok and Dublin and launched hjem.no for the Norwegian market. His PhD in medical imaging and background in computational mathematics give him a strong analytical toolkit and a habit of turning complex, data-driven problems into robust, auditable solutions. Equally at home with Kotlin/Scala, Rust and cloud platforms, he focuses on reliability, security and observability in mission-critical systems. Off the clock he’s competed nationally in Boogie Woogie and Go and has lived in the UK, US and India—illustrating a curiosity and adaptability that show up in his cross-cultural leadership.
