Top SchoolSyed Ali is a Vice President of Software Engineering based in Los Angeles with 12 years of experience building consumer and infrastructure-grade systems from prototype to production. He blends hands-on architecture and low-level engineering—shipping iOS apps, Bluetooth/firmware integrations and shared C/C++ libraries—with organizational leadership scaling mobile, web, and backend teams. At Happy Health he moved between Principal Architect work (rewriting mobile Bluetooth stacks, designing event-driven Python backends on AWS) and VP-level partnership and systems strategy, maintaining a rare mix of tactical execution and systems-level oversight. His background includes audio and signal work (Johns Hopkins, Filmic Pro, Beats Music) and building SDKs and cross-platform clients that emphasize reliability and real-time performance. Colleagues rely on him to set engineering standards, CI/CD and deployment practices while staying close to code and platform reliability.
