Summary
👤
SeniorSylvain Bouchard is a seasoned mobile engineering leader based in Montreal, combining more than two decades of software experience with over a decade focused on iOS and front-end systems. Currently a Staff Engineer at SwiftConnect, he previously led mobile architecture and mentoring as Tech Lead, driving scalable native app design and cross-functional collaboration. He has a strong track record at Desjardins and multiple startups, building production iOS apps for finance, health, and enterprise use while bridging web and native technologies. Comfortable across Objective-C, Cocoa Touch, JavaScript and backend Java stacks, he moves fluidly between hands-on development, technical advisory roles, and CEO-level product work through his freelance studio Waizu Labs. Notably, he has repeatedly delivered award-recognized mobile features and created “mock mode” tooling to streamline demos and offline testing. His profile reflects a pragmatic engineer who elevates teams as much as he ships polished user-facing products.
