Top SchoolTakahisa Kurimura is a Software & Data Engineer with 11 years of experience, currently leading backend and data efforts at Luup where he launched the Android app, established a data engineering team, and built staff tooling to improve operations. He specializes in TypeScript-based Cloud Functions and Firestore as BaaS, with a strong foundation in BigQuery-driven analysis and data engineering from prior BI work. His background includes Android development, Go and Kotlin experience, and practical know-how in negotiating and integrating external systems to meet regulatory changes. Comfortable bridging product, engineering, and operations, he’s delivered regulatory-compliant identity and age-verification flows and led price and vendor negotiations across teams. Despite a recent hiatus and self-acknowledged skill gaps in Python and Go, he combines hands-on implementation with team-building and cross-functional leadership.
