Senior🎓
Top SchoolTamas Papp is a Managed Services Manager based in Budapest with 11 years of formal experience and over two decades of hands-on systems engineering across Linux, virtualization, containers and cloud platforms. He builds teams from zero and drives greenfield service development, blending product visioning, agile facilitation and coaching with deep operational instincts in HA, backup, monitoring and security. His background ranges from running core infrastructure at media and hosting companies to leading SRE/product efforts and ISO-driven IT improvements at ChemAxon, showing a rare mix of tactical troubleshooting and strategic program delivery. Comfortable with technologies from LXC/LXD and KVM to AWS, Cloudflare and ZFS, he also champions Sociocracy 3.0 and Kanban to scale teams and culture. Notably, he has repeatedly migrated legacy estates to virtualized and cloud environments, turning consolidation projects into measurable reliability gains. He pairs an MSc in biotechnology with entrepreneurial experience running his own IT firm, which informs a pragmatic, cost-aware approach to systems design.
