Top SchoolTammo Dijkema is a Scientific Software Engineer with 13 years of experience applying advanced mathematics and scientific computing to large-scale data analysis and computational science problems. Based in Zwolle, he has been developing research-grade software at Astron since 2013, bridging the gap between theoretical methods from his PhD in Mathematics and robust, production-capable code. His background in numerical methods and scientific computing informs pragmatic solutions for data-intensive research workflows, often translating complex algorithms into maintainable software. Colleagues know him for combining academic rigor with an engineer’s focus on reproducibility and performance. Outside day-to-day engineering he brings a deep understanding of mathematical modeling that helps uncover non-obvious structure in noisy datasets.
