Top SchoolTao Jin is a director-level software engineer with 10+ years building embedded, networking and full-stack systems for drones, consumer Wi-Fi, and mobile connectivity. He led device software at Meituan’s Drone BU and formerly architected Nest Wifi firmware and OS at Google, shipping award-winning products that blend real-time firmware with cloud-connected services. His background spans applied research (SIGCOMM-published work on traffic classification), Snapdragon flight platforms and connectivity engines, and end-to-end UAV stacks including sensor fusion and onboard AI. Comfortable scaling geographically distributed teams, he combines hands-on C/C++/firmware expertise with product-driven roadmaps and a curiosity for cutting-edge IoT and robotics applications. Not obvious from the title: he’s shipped both consumer-facing smart speaker routers and low-level DSP-integrated flight control on commercial drone platforms.
