Senior🎓
Top SchoolTejas Kumthekar is a product-focused founding engineer and startup builder with 11 years of experience designing scalable, enterprise-grade systems from infrastructure to customer-facing features. Based in San Francisco, he has repeatedly taken core platform ownership at early-stage companies—most recently as Founding Engineer at Minoa and previously as Co-Founder & CTO of Swayware—after driving core platform and enterprise features at Courier. His background includes building real-time streaming and in-memory systems at Expedia that moved millions of users’ data between services, plus co-authoring platform tools and open-source libraries adopted across multiple teams. Comfortable across Java, TypeScript, cloud-native tooling and distributed systems, he blends hands-on coding with product instincts to ship durable solutions. He also brings entrepreneurial grit from founding consumer and education projects earlier in his career that grew organically to sizable audiences. Colleagues rely on him to turn ambiguous product problems into performant, production-ready systems.
