Summary
👤
SeniorTerje Torkelsen is an independent consultant and platform engineer based in Oslo with 11 years of hands-on experience building cloud-native systems, primarily using .NET, Go, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure and AWS. He specializes in making complex cloud environments simple and reliable—designing automated infrastructure-as-code, observability stacks, and developer portals (Backstage) that remove friction for teams. As a former operative tech lead, he combines practical coding with governance, cost control and security practices to help organizations migrate and operate securely in the cloud. Terje values effortless user and developer experiences, favoring pragmatic solutions over unnecessary complexity—hence his preference for tools that “just work.” He contributes patterns and tooling in open source to share improvements and accelerate adoption. Outside of greenfield systems he has deep experience modernizing legacy .NET workloads for containerization and scalable deployment.
