Top SchoolThomas Baron is a Tokyo-based consultant and software engineer with 12 years of experience building web, game, and embedded systems across education, energy, and enterprise domains. He is proficient in C#, JavaScript/Node.js, PHP, SQL, MongoDB and Unity 3D, and regularly extends his toolkit with Python, C++, Swift and WebGL to tackle GPU-accelerated graphics and distributed web applications. Past roles include developing analytics-driven educational games and an American Sign Language assessment portal, prototyping procedural mesh generation and GPU algorithms for game tools, and integrating cloud and PLC-driven monitoring for renewable energy. At KPMG Japan he applies this multidisciplinary background to client-facing software projects, blending practical engineering with domain-focused research. He brings a rare combination of applied linguistics interest and graphics/VR experience, which informs thoughtful UX and instructional-design-aware technical solutions. Curious about ML and robotics, he actively pursues new languages and platforms to broaden the impact of his engineering work.
