Top SchoolThomas Potaire is a seasoned technology leader and Chief Technology Officer with 11 years of hands-on engineering experience building scalable, user-focused web platforms from startup marketplaces to large media properties. He has held senior engineering and technical lead roles at Twitter and CBS Interactive and now leads engineering and product technology at fast-growing fitness marketplace Recess and at Plan, Inc. Thomas spans the full stack—front-end performance and UX improvements, backend scalability, caching strategies, and realtime systems—and has a track record of refactoring legacy stacks into modern, maintainable architectures. He pairs startup grit with enterprise-grade discipline, scaling teams and systems for rapid user growth while keeping quality front and center. An early career background in systems and network administration (French Air Force) and certificates in OS development and IT management hint at a deep operational mindset beyond typical application engineering. Based in San Francisco, he filters outreach carefully and does not respond to recruiting agency messages.
