Top SchoolTigar Cyr is a software engineer with nine years of experience building and operating infrastructure for large-scale compute systems, currently working at Meta and supporting Azure/OpenAI training clusters as an HPC systems networking engineer at Microsoft. He blends a Computer Science foundation and Mechanical Engineering instincts to design reliable, automated systems that emphasize abstraction and autonomy. His background includes containerizing microservices and migrating platforms to Kubernetes and Spinnaker, and optimizing storage and streaming stacks for FlashBlade and Kafka. Based in Menlo Park, he has hands-on experience across research labs and enterprise engineering roles, comfortable moving between low-level systems work and cloud-native orchestration. Tigar is drawn to how many parts coordinate to produce greater capability, which informs his focus on scalable, maintainable infrastructure. Colleagues would describe him as a pragmatic engineer who seeks elegant abstractions that enable autonomous, composable systems.
