Top SchoolTim Tian is a materials-engineering-trained product and hardware leader with 15 years of experience designing and commercializing medical-grade 3D printing systems. As Head of R&D Hardware at SprintRay he led cross-disciplinary teams to deliver production products like the Pro printer, ProCure, and ProWash, turning lab prototypes into regulated dental devices. His background spans hands-on firmware and slicer optimization for FDM systems through to systems-level qualification and testing, blending materials science rigor with practical manufacturing know-how. Based in Los Angeles, he recently transitioned from corporate R&D to property investing while retaining a strong track record of bringing complex hardware products to market. Not obvious from the title: he has entrepreneurial experience running a small design services firm, managing teams and customer pipelines alongside technical work. Tim excels at bridging research, product development, and operations to accelerate hardware commercialization.
