Senior🎓
Top SchoolTobias Jacob is a Senior Robotics Engineer based in London with 11 years of multidisciplinary experience bridging humanoid robotics, machine learning, electronics and mechanical engineering. He has advanced from hands-on firmware, PCB assembly and robot calibration during PhD work on ARMAR platforms to leading software and electronics efforts at NEURA and now building humanoid systems at Humanoid. His background includes applied research in imitation and reinforcement learning for legged robots and multi-agent traffic behaviors, plus industry experience in financial ML and autonomous vehicles, giving him a rare blend of control, perception and systems thinking. Tobias holds an M.S. in Computer Science and dual B.S. degrees in Electrical and Mechanical/Business Engineering, and is comfortable shipping from low-level EtherCAT firmware to higher-level learning-based motion. Colleagues describe him as someone who pairs academic rigor with pragmatic engineering—equally likely to write control firmware, design PCBs, or prototype multi-agent learning experiments.
