Toby Allen
General Manager at Ballymaloe Cookery School
Ireland
Summary
🤩
RockstarToby Allen is a seasoned software engineer turned hospitality leader with 15 years’ experience blending hands-on development and operations. After a decade working as a Delphi developer focused on compliance and risk management, he transitioned into food and hospitality and now manages Ballymaloe Cookery School, overseeing sales, processes, IT and guest services. Toby has migrated his engineering practice to PHP—finding productivity in Laravel—and brings practical systems thinking to business operations and IT. Based in Ireland, he combines technical depth with day-to-day management, applying software best practices to streamline hospitality processes and data-driven decision making. An unexpected strength is his ability to translate legacy Delphi-era knowledge into maintainable modern PHP stacks while running a customer-facing enterprise.
