Top SchoolTom Chang is a software engineer with nine years of experience specializing in embedded systems, BSP/kernel work, and cloud-integrated IoT solutions. He has a strong track record building and customizing Yocto and Android BSPs, modifying drivers and kernel configurations, and automating tests with Python and shell scripts. Tom applies machine learning models (TensorFlow) and Dockerized workflows to edge use cases like pedestrian detection and drive-recorder analytics, and has integrated platforms with AWS (Greengrass, Kinesis) and Azure IoT/Edge services for sensor and video streaming. Comfortable across C, Linux, Matlab-based image processing, and model training, he leverages research in blockchain and cloud services to drive product features. Based in Taichung with a master’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, he pairs hands-on firmware/kernel chops with cloud-native deployment experience—often bridging low-level BSP changes to high-level ML and streaming services.
