Tom Englert
Master Developer Software Applications
Germany
Summary
🤩
RockstarTom Englert is a seasoned master developer with 14+ years of professional experience and a multi-decade history as a free software author focused on .NET, WPF and tooling for developer productivity. He currently leads software application development at AVL Analytical Technologies while maintaining an active open-source footprint—contributions to high-profile projects like ILSpy and Fody show strength across back-end build automation, code weaving, and polished UI/UX work (including dark mode theming and MVVM improvements). Tom blends low-level assembly- and build-system expertise with front-end polish, having improved decompiler UX, resource management tooling, and robust threading and testing patterns. His career spans product architecture roles (Nero) and long-term engineering at s.a.x., demonstrating both deep technical ownership and practical engineering for complex Windows/.NET ecosystems. A subtle differentiator: he repeatedly focuses on build, test and integration reliability—fixing symbol loading, probing paths and CI-related issues—so developers using his code get both features and resilience. Based in Germany, he pairs pragmatic problem-solving with attention to developer experience and long-term maintainability.
