Top SchoolTom O'rourke is a seasoned technology leader and Principal Architect/Field CTO with 25+ years building cloud and platform engineering at global scale, from UNIX administration through fintech and co-founding DynamicOps (the seed of VMware’s vRealize/VCF Automation). He led VMware’s internal Kubernetes SaaS platform as Director of Engineering, running a globally distributed team, achieving four-nines uptime and shepherding the platform through SOC2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, FedRAMP High (IL5) and IL6 compliance. A pragmatic full-stack engineer in Go, Java, Python and TypeScript, he combines deep Kubernetes, SRE and observability expertise with product ownership and OKR coaching experience for executive teams. After leaving Broadcom in 2026 he founded WeaveONE, a mission-driven SaaS helping UK families navigate SEND, and now advises and architects at solo.io while exploring senior engineering leadership roles. Notably, his work traces a rare path from hands-on developer at Credit Suisse to shaping enterprise SaaS platform standards that still run in production worldwide.
