Top SchoolTony Champion is an IT systems administrator, software developer, and business owner in Christchurch with 11 years of hands-on experience across infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and modern web development. He builds secure, user-focused web applications (HTML/CSS/JS, Node.js, Python) while managing databases and core systems administration for small businesses and enterprise customers. Tony pairs technical depth—SIEM, endpoint security, Azure, AD, VM and backup management—with real-world protective operations from a long career in physical and close protection security. His unique dual-discipline background means he approaches risk holistically, blending threat assessment and secure system design with situational awareness learned protecting dignitaries and embassy personnel. Currently launching a private personal security business, he intentionally integrates cybersecurity awareness into physical protection services to offer clients layered, tech-forward security solutions. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic, disciplined, and continuously learning, with a knack for translating complex technical controls into practical, reliable outcomes.
