Top SchoolTony Schmidt is a Staff Software Engineer with 14 years of hands-on full-stack experience, currently designing cloud-native systems and secure integrations for medical workflows at VistaPath Biosystems in Seattle. He blends deep backend and infrastructure expertise—Python, Node, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CouchDB and GitOps—with front-end React work, and has a track record of building highly available, offline-capable architectures and device synchronization. As an early engineering hire and team lead, he has repeatedly delivered SaaS portals and platform-agnostic SOA solutions while owning security/compliance coordination and third-party API patterns. Tony prefers open-source, vendor-agnostic tooling but pairs pragmatism with business needs, and outside work recharges by cooking, gardening, and staying active with his wife.
