Tristan Cartledge
Summary
👤
SeniorTristan Cartledge is a principal engineer and founding engineer with 11 years of professional software experience, currently leading SDK generation and technical architecture at Speakeasy from his base in Cairns, Australia. He brings deep hands‑on expertise in building cloud-native, event-driven microservices—primarily in Golang—deployed on Kubernetes across AWS/GCP, gained through senior engineering and technical leadership roles at Curve, Splash Damage, Bossa and other studios. Tristan has led teams of up to 18 engineers delivering large-scale online platforms and games-as-a-service, combining server, client, DevOps and platform SDK integration experience with a pragmatic focus on reliability and incremental migration. He’s comfortable both mentoring teams and shipping core systems himself, having repeatedly driven cross-cutting initiatives like CRM integrations, eventual-consistency pipelines and scalable backend migrations. An early freelance consultant and long-time polyglot developer, he pairs product-minded architecture with practical implementation skills across languages from C++ and C# to Python and NodeJS.
