Top SchoolTucker Buchy is a Staff Software Engineer with 13 years of experience building large-scale data and geospatial pipelines, currently leading a team at Bayer to digitize agriculture for the Climate FieldView platform. He combines hands-on expertise in Python, distributed systems (ECS, Kafka, Dask), and data warehousing with a track record of cost and delivery optimizations—having cut pipeline operating costs by 75% and feature delivery time by 80%. His background spans data infrastructure, object storage migrations, and high-throughput ingestion systems handling millions of objects per day, paired with practical experience in exactly-once processing and historical backfills. Tucker is both a technical leader and an operator who writes the APIs, designs the architecture, and authors onboarding documentation to scale teams and systems. Outside of work he channels curiosity into guitar, fly fishing, and watercoloring—skills that mirror his blend of patience and attention to detail in solving complex engineering problems.
