Summary
👤
SeniorTyler Minard is an experienced engineering leader with 14 years building and scaling backend systems, currently splitting time between Digital Bazaar and a stealth startup he co-founded. He’s delivered high-impact work at companies like Sound, Venmo, PayPal and Braintree—stabilizing performance-critical services, designing scalable microservices, and improving SDLC practices so teams can ship weekly without sacrificing reliability. Comfortable in both hands-on engineering and people leadership, he mentors engineers, shapes culture, and hires and grows small, diverse teams that punch above their weight. Tyler has deep operational chops in PostgreSQL, async pipelines, load/stress testing and evented architectures that have eliminated major outages and saved teams thousands of engineering hours. Based in Greenville, SC, he’s motivated by solving hard technical problems and teaching others to achieve ambitious goals with warmth and style. An early hobbyist open-source developer, he still brings a practical curiosity and willingness to tinker across languages and stacks.
