SeniorTyler Truong is a software engineering manager with 8+ years of full-stack experience, currently leading engineering at Instagram and Facebook out of New York. He designs and ships high-throughput, low-latency systems—examples include an Airbnb-like service where he optimized database insertions of 50M+ records and cut request latency from 12s to 200ms at 100 QPS. Comfortable across React/Redux front-ends and Node/Express back-ends, he pairs practical data modeling with production-grade tooling such as Docker, Redis, ElasticSearch and AWS. Tyler has hands-on experience building real-time pipelines that ingest 1000+ messages/sec and shape outputs at scale, reflecting a strong operational mindset. A UC Berkeley applied mathematics graduate, he blends quantitative rigor with pragmatic engineering and maintains a public portfolio on GitHub showcasing his projects.
