Top SchoolTyler Whitaker is a pragmatic data engineer with eight years of experience turning messy inputs into reliable, production-ready pipelines that deliver analysts timely, validated datasets. Rooted in a physics background, he applies scientific rigor to automate workflows, optimize performance, and bridge technical teams with non-technical stakeholders. He’s delivered measurable automation gains—cutting manual survey inspections by over 20%—and has built end-to-end solutions from notification systems to enterprise data warehouses. Comfortable across Python, SQL, Airflow, Azure, and AWS, he’s actively expanding into Databricks, Delta Lake, and PySpark to scale distributed processing. Beyond code, he mentors junior engineers and interns and brings an end-user focus that ensures data work directly supports better decisions. Based in Goldsboro, NC, he’s building toward a data architect role where design, deployment, and communication converge.
