Top SchoolTyrel Clayton is a Staff Software Engineer with nine years of experience building front-end driven full-stack applications, specializing in React, GraphQL, CSS, accessibility, and design systems. He has led teams and initiatives that delivered measurable business impact—building a Stripe-integrated payments flow that processed $950K in its first seven months and developing internal design systems used across product teams. Comfortable owning projects end-to-end, Tyrel pairs product-focused engineering with strong mentoring chops, having led frontend teams and run recurring knowledge-sharing sessions like Code & Coffee. Outside of engineering he’s an active community builder as President of the New England Gator Club®, where he raised scholarships and scaled volunteer-led programming—bringing the same focus on inclusivity and usability to both code and community. He’s based in Somerville, MA, enjoys coffee chats with first-generation and non-traditional students, and often applies lessons from event-building and fundraising to ship pragmatic, user-centered software.
