Vadim Kurland
Summary
👤
SeniorVadim Kurland is a software architect and entrepreneur with 14+ years building scalable, secure systems for networked devices and high-speed data acquisition, currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He founded and led multiple startups—including Happy Gears/NetSpyGlass and NetCitadel—delivering cloud and on-prem solutions that map, monitor and orchestrate multi-vendor datacenter and WAN environments at thousands-of-devices scale. His work blends hands-on systems engineering from his Google network tools background with product leadership as a CTO, focusing on automation, embedded analytics (Python) and observability. Now at Zscaler after a recent CTO role at Airgap Networks, he continues to drive integrations that tighten security and telemetry across hybrid infrastructures. An MS in Physics and a career starting in network operations give him a pragmatic, measurement-driven approach to designing resilient, scriptable platforms.
