Senior🎓
Top SchoolVadim Yakovlev is a Lead Software Engineer based in London with over 25 years of Java-focused engineering experience and nine years in senior roles across financial services. He has deep domain expertise building low-latency trading systems, FIX messaging, and algo engines, alongside broad hands-on experience in front-end frameworks (React, Swing, Java web), databases (Oracle, Cassandra) and TCP/IP protocol work including custom HTTP/SMTP clients. Comfortable both as an individual contributor and technical coordinator, Vadim has led production support for global exchange-traded derivatives platforms and delivered FX algo trading as an independent contractor. He pairs systems-level networking and Linux scripting skills with pragmatic CI practices, and has shipped mobile-to-enterprise solutions dating back to Blackberry and early Java ME. Notably, his background spans building protocol-level components and business-facing UIs, giving him rare cross-cutting insight into performance, reliability and developer ergonomics.
