Top SchoolValery Fremaux is a veteran technical leader and Moodle architect with 14+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying and sustaining large-scale open-source learning platforms. As Directeur Technique and founder of ActiveProLearn, he oversees an ecosystem of ~200 Moodle plugins and channels R&D into industrial-grade components that support institutional digital transformation. His background blends software architecture, ethnomethodology and pedagogy, enabling him to translate socio-constructivist learning theory into robust technical solutions for universities and national-scale projects. A longtime contributor to the Moodle ecosystem since 2004, he combines product-minded engineering with governance and team leadership to industrialize LMS deployments. Based in Greater Paris, he is particularly skilled at aligning organizational practices with web-native tools to turn experimentation into repeatable, maintainable services. Beyond tech, his work reveals a rare focus on the cognitive and organizational affordances of digital education rather than only on code.
