Senior🎓
Top SchoolVarun Seshadri is a fault-tolerance researcher and research software developer with nine years of experience focused on quantum error correction, tensor networks, and simulation tools for quantum hardware. Currently completing a PhD while working at QC Design GmbH, he has blended academic rigor from TUM and LMU with practical engineering—contributing to projects like latticesurgery-style compilers and implementing stabilizer code simulators in Julia. His master’s thesis explored quartenary representations and space-time tensor-network encodings of quantum codes, reflecting a knack for rethinking representations to make fault-tolerant protocols more tractable. Past work ranges from materials simulation for single-photon sources to evolutionary optimisation routines, showing an ability to bridge device physics and high-level error-correction software. Based in Ulm, Germany, he brings both deep theoretical insight and hands-on software development to the challenge of making quantum computation robust.
