Senior🎓
Top SchoolVenki Balakrishnan is a seasoned Sr. Staff Software Engineer with 11 years in the U.S. market and a much longer global engineering career rooted in enterprise software and cloud-native platforms. He has led architecture and engineering initiatives at LinkedIn, Microsoft, and SAP, driving data platform, lakehouse, and omnichannel product architectures that modernize legacy stacks and enable self-serve business platforms. Known for shaping product catalogs, pricing engines, and API/schema governance, he blends product-aware engineering with platform-level technical leadership. His background as Chief Architect for SAP Cloud for Customer and tech lead for healthcare data platforms demonstrates a rare mix of domain depth and cloud-native data tooling. Based in Sunnyvale, he pairs rigorous IIT Bombay training with a pragmatic focus on scalable, secure systems and cross-team mentorship. Less obvious: he consistently operates at the intersection of product strategy and low-level architecture, converting business offers and pricing complexity into maintainable platform abstractions.
