Victor Camargo
Porto, Porto, Portugal
Summary
👤
SeniorVictor Camargo is a senior software engineer based in Porto with 12 years of experience building scalable, user-focused web and mobile products. He blends hands-on engineering and technical leadership, from founding and shipping a full e-commerce and mobile platform as CTO at Collectgram to optimizing biometric onboarding at Onfido that delivered a 95% success rate in under 10 seconds. Equally comfortable owning design systems—having led the Tagus Design System at TUI GDN—and diving deep into front-end performance, accessibility, and stability, he consistently turns complex problems into polished experiences. Now contributing to Entrust after its acquisition of Onfido, he brings both startup grit and enterprise-grade delivery practices. Colleagues value his mentorship and pragmatic approach to code reviews and architecture choices. Off the clock he muses on big-picture perspectives—“we are just dust in the universe”—which informs a thoughtful, user-centered engineering ethos.
