👤
SeniorVictor De Sousa is a blockchain-savvy researcher-turned-entrepreneur with 11 years of experience blending academic rigor and practical delivery in Belgium. As Co-Founder of Async Studio and an invited professor at Université de Namur, he designs and implements software (including games) while teaching blockchain, BPM and information systems. His PhD research—jointly at KU Leuven and UNamur—focused on smart-contract design for cross-organizational processes, giving him deep expertise in translating complex inter-organizational requirements into automated, auditable blockchain solutions. He has applied that research pragmatically as a Technology Advisor at KPMG and as a consultant/trainer, helping organizations identify use cases and build POCs. Victor also organizes the international BC4IS workshop, supervises student research, and uniquely combines academic publishing with hands-on project management and product delivery.
