Vinaya Prasad N
Software Engineer
Singapore, India
Summary
👤
SeniorVinay Shetty is a software engineering manager based in Singapore with 11 years of experience building high-throughput backends and consumer Android apps used by millions daily. At Agoda he progressed from Android developer to engineering manager, leading multi-national teams, hiring at scale, and delivering systems that handle billions in bookings while cutting latency from 30+ seconds to under 1s. He combines hands-on skills across Java, Kotlin, Scala and .NET Core with deep experience in distributed systems, reactive and functional paradigms, and has driven platform improvements that reduced CPU and memory costs while improving spike capacity. An active open-source contributor and polyglot quick-learner, Vinay brings both product-minded Android performance optimizations and large-scale payment and workflow engineering expertise to bear. Less obvious: he has repeatedly led org-level technical initiatives across 20+ senior engineers, showing rare ability to bridge individual contributors and strategic platform outcomes.
