Top SchoolVishram Urankar is a Staff Engineer based in Oakland with eight years of experience building scalable risk, fraud, and platform systems for fintech and enterprise customers. He currently leads development of risk and fraud products at Marqeta, drawing on prior work at Cisco where he designed policy-driven network security frameworks and containerized adapter ecosystems. His background spans supply chain and process improvement, academic teaching, and hands-on platform engineering from data-center management to scientific SaaS at Riffyn. Vishram blends systems-level thinking with practical product delivery—designing APIs, messaging systems, and lifecycle management for distributed services—and has repeatedly improved reliability and performance through automation and policy models. Comfortable across security, backend architecture, and process optimization, he brings a pragmatic focus on auditable, scalable solutions that reduce operational risk. An often-overlooked strength is his cross-domain fluency: he translates complex operational needs into production-ready engineering while mentoring teams across time zones.
