Top SchoolVivien Schilis is a seasoned Development and Ops Consultant based in Paris with 16 years building and scaling distributed services and cloud-native, service-oriented applications. He combines hands-on Golang backend engineering at Geckoboard with long-term consultancy work, bringing deep experience in video and media infrastructure from roles as CTO of PandaStream and Senior Platform Architect at MediaCore. His technical stack spans AWS, Python, Ruby, Go, FFmpeg, Ansible/Chef, RabbitMQ and ElasticSearch, reflecting a strong focus on reliable, high-throughput pipelines for encoding, streaming and API-driven systems. Vivien has repeatedly led small engineering teams through acquisitions and product-critical infrastructure projects, demonstrating both architectural vision and practical operational rigor. Comfortable across the full lifecycle from low-level encoding C work to cloud orchestration, he’s as likely to optimize an FFmpeg pipeline as to architect fault-tolerant microservices.
