Top SchoolVJ Patel is a seasoned security-focused software engineer and leader with 13 years of experience building cloud-native, scalable systems and developer-facing security controls. Currently Senior Vice President and Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, he has a track record of founding and growing security functions, designing Secure SDLCs, and implementing GitOps, supply-chain and infrastructure threat modelling at scale. Technically fluent in Go, GRPC, Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS, he combines hands-on SRE/DevOps experience with security automation—authoring asset-inventory tooling, CI generation systems and open-source projects such as a Docker Registry Proxy and Terraform helpers. A King's College London MSc top-performer, he brings an operator’s mentality to product security and a knack for turning manual workflows into reproducible, auditable automation. Off the clock he’s an avid guitarist and self-described “food eater and napper,” hinting at a pragmatic, human approach to high-pressure engineering work.
