He has progressed from research and machine learning roles into leading architecture and platform efforts—designing and operating large microservice fleets, developer workflows, and AWS infrastructure using Clojure, Python, Kubernetes and PostgreSQL. As a founder and principal engineer he launched production credit platforms and internal consumer products, scaling from a single service to 40+ services in production while introducing Scrum and robust deployment practices. He combines a research background in geophysics with hands-on ML and backend engineering, bringing a pragmatic, data-informed approach to system design and feature engineering. An Emacs fanatic, he favors developer ergonomics and productivity tooling as part of reliable delivery. Based in São Paulo, he now leads engineering at Nubank after a multi-year senior engineering tenure at Cisco.
