Top SchoolWathela Alhassan is a doctoral student and multidisciplinary engineer combining astrophysics, GeoAI, and GIS development with nine years of applied experience across research and startups. Trained at the University of Cape Town and in remote sensing, she builds end-to-end spatial data systems and machine learning pipelines—ranging from satellite-based climate displacement models to production-ready web stacks as a former co-founder and full‑stack developer. Her work bridges astroinformatics and practical geospatial applications, often converting complex remote sensing products into actionable spatial data models. Based in Warsaw, she brings a rare blend of observational astronomy rigor and hands-on spatial AI engineering, demonstrated through collaborations at AstroCeNT, Omdena, and a Spatial AI internship at EON Reality.
