Top SchoolWbert Castro is a seasoned backend and AI software engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience and a 20-year development background, now specializing in Rust for systems programming, AI agents, and embedded applications. He has shipped scalable full-stack solutions for high-traffic products—most notably redesigning features for Genius that reached millions daily—and has driven GenAI adoption across remote-first startups. Comfortable across JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Postgres and Redis, he pairs practical web engineering with robotics and ML training (Udacity nanodegrees) to bridge embedded systems and LLM-driven agents. A mentor and workshop leader, he consistently improves team practices and developer ergonomics while exploring low-level performance and safety trade-offs. Based in Rionegro, Colombia, he brings a global remote collaboration mindset and a rare blend of production web experience and systems-level Rust expertise.
