Top SchoolXander Peterson is a Senior Teaching Engineer with 11 years of experience designing and delivering large-scale technical learning programs across startups and tech giants. He combines hands-on software engineering (Rails, Python, automation) with instructional design to onboard thousands of new hires and interns, building curricula, interactive simulations, and internal tools that reduced maintenance overhead and enabled remote learning. Known for highly rated facilitation (9.2–9.8/10) and inventive training narratives like job simulations and game-based learning, he balances empathy-driven pedagogy with measurable learning OKRs. Prior roles include developing production integrations and upgrading core Rails applications at Roostify, and coordinating international exchange programs in Japan—evidence of strong cross-cultural communication and operational leadership. Based in Pleasanton, CA, he blends cognitive-science-informed teaching methods with practical engineering to scale education and accelerate developer readiness.
