Summary
👤
SeniorXiaying Peng is a Staff Software Engineer with 14 years of experience building large-scale distributed systems and production services that serve millions of users. She has designed matchmaking algorithms used across EA titles, implemented distributed key/value stores based on Raft, and shipped full-stack VOIP and cloud phone systems at Dialpad. Currently at Coinbase, she combines crypto engineering leadership with deep systems expertise spanning OS internals (author of "Learn OS with me"), databases, and reliability engineering. A pragmatic polyglot and hacker with a taste for low-level challenges, she pairs production-grade design with hands-on implementation from kernel-like OS work to cloud-native services. Based in Vancouver, she is also an active open-source contributor and diver, bringing curiosity and discipline to complex technical problems.
