Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolYago Dorea is a backend-focused generalist software engineer with 9 years of experience designing and shipping distributed, event-driven systems. Currently at Deel and formerly part of Spin Pay’s core team that scaled a startup through acquisition, he works across the stack—Node.js/TypeScript backends, Postgres, Kafka, Elasticsearch, React frontends, and GCP/Terraform infrastructure. He has strong API and microservices experience from consulting work at Sensedia and a computer engineering background from the University of São Paulo with an exchange stint in Japan. Yago combines hands-on implementation with architecture rethinks, mentoring, and cross-team integrations, often taking on whatever role is needed to move projects forward. He’s comfortable in fast-moving startups and brings practical DevOps and CI/CD muscle to ensure systems are operable at scale. Colleagues would note his blend of system-level thinking and attention to inclusive team culture as a differentiator.
