Senior🎓
Top SchoolYarco Hayduk is a blockchain-focused researcher and engineer with nine years of experience blending deep academic research and hands-on product work. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and has transitioned from JVM concurrency and systems research into applied blockchain engineering, with roles ranging from Senior Blockchain Engineer at Covalent to Partner at Pragma Ventures. His background includes low-level systems work—modifying OpenJDK for pauseless GC and experimenting with HTM, CUDA and STM—which informs his pragmatic approach to scalable blockchain architectures. Yarco has built across languages and stacks (Java, Scala, Ruby, polyglot development) and has led software architecture efforts for enterprise web applications. Based in Lisbon, he pairs rigorous research instincts with startup execution, helping bridge protocol research and real-world developer tooling. An underappreciated strength is his experience integrating low-level performance optimizations into higher-level distributed systems—a perspective he brings to blockchain research and product strategy.
