Summary
🤩
RockstarYevhenii Peteliev is a Senior Research Engineer specializing in iOS and macOS R&D with a decade of hands-on experience building user-focused applications, prototypes, and reverse-engineering tools at MacPaw. He has led full product lifecycles from concept to App Store release—most notably the award-winning SpyBuster and contributions to CleanMyMac X and The Unarchiver—combining deep platform internals expertise with design-driven UX work. In his current role he monitors OS internals, explores emerging tech, builds prototypes, and publishes technical research to inform product decisions. Yevhenii also mentors and interviews candidates across multiple MacPaw programs, helping junior engineers transition into production-grade development. Known for bridging research and shipping software, he favors scalable, performant solutions and has a track record of reducing technical debt while implementing non-trivial UI/UX. Based in Ukraine, he brings a rare mix of reverse-engineering curiosity and pragmatic product engineering rooted in a master’s in computer science.
