RockstarYisui Hu is a pragmatic engineering leader and CTO co-founder with 13 years of experience building cloud-native infrastructure, robotics software, and high-performance systems from startup to hyperscale. He has driven distributed compute and container platforms at VMware and Google, shipped Kubernetes/GKE workstreams, and applied those lessons to product and platform decisions at Crafting. Known for pragmatic problem-solving—ever focused on “making things easier”—he pairs low-level systems expertise (VMs, LXC/KVM, networking, drivers) with startup instincts for rapid delivery. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he blends hands-on coding and architecture with founding experience, having previously built consumer device stacks, peer-to-peer networking, and large-scale push services. An engineer who favors shipping elegant, fast solutions, he often surfaces unconventional approaches to reduce operational friction.
